“Big Furry Head” - Amon Tobin, “Foley Room” (Ninja Tune, 2007)

As I’ve often mentioned Amon Tobin is my favorite musical artist, but it has taken a while for “Foley Room” to grow on me. There is still a lot on it that feels a little beyond me, but a few of the tracks have really grown on me lately. This is one of them. I especially like listening to this before Crossfit workouts—the beastly snarl sample seems to fit well.

Unfortunately I bought this album off iTunes back when everything was DRM so the files are .m4ps, which I can’t post to Tumblr and I can’t convert. So this weird video will have to do. The images are from the German Expressionist film “Nosferatu” from 1921. I’m still up in the air on whether they go well with the music or not.
