“Coolchazine” - Woodhands, “Remorsecapade” (Paper Bag Records, 2010)
Maybe it’s because I went to see Prefuse 73 on Tuesday night and I’m going to see DJ Krush next week, but I’ve been on an electronic music kick lately. The music I’ve been listening to, including this song, has tended to be new stuff that tips its hat heavily to some of the 90s techno that was my first introduction to the genre. “Coolchazine”, with its blend of punk and unabashed electro sounds, reminds me of The Prodigy.
