“Say Goodbye To What” - Bullion, [single] (unsigned, 2010)
This is one of those beautiful pieces that is so ADD that it barely holds together coherently, but does just manage to do so. The style is very much influenced by skittery cut-and-paste sounds like Prefuse 73 and edIT, but to my ear this song is also in the spirit of ’90s big beat like the Chemical Brothers. I say that in the best possible way—Bullion is not afraid to sound obviously electronic, as long as what he’s put together ends up being fun.
