“Powa” - Tune-Yards, live 4AD Session recording (2009)
I continue to be amazed by the beautiful music that Tune-Yards creates out of such simple building blocks. She has a very impressive vocal dynamic range, but other than that it’s all just in the conception. I’d almost call this a blues song or a gospel song, but it doesn’t really matter what I call it.
