“Les Animaux” - The Great Collide [@TheGreatCollide] (2009)
Sometimes the bad economy really does have a silver lining. My girlfriend’s brother Dave graduated college this spring into the worst job market in decades, and to his great credit, he decided to use it as an opportunity to do something awesome. He and a few friends moved to Nashville Tennessee and started this band, The Great Collide. They’ve already set up some shows in cities around the south and have been steadily releasing tracks on their MySpace, as well as a couple of videos like this one. They’re very talented, and as I always appreciate, they look like they’re having fun when they play. The music is Americana, and I especially like the strong group emphasis in this song, “Les Animaux”. Dave is the shorter-haired guitar player in this video.
My question for them is, when are you playing in New York?
